Situated on 3,500 acres of lush ranch land outside of Park City, Utah, The Lodge at Blue Sky invites guests to slow down and forge meaningful connections with the land, animals and people that call Blue Sky home.

Good time to go

October is a beautiful month. The fall foliage is at its peak, the wildlife is very active, fly fishing is fantastic and the daytime temperatures are ideal for outdoor activities.

Children at the Ranch

Great for children aged 0 and over

Blue Sky is very family friendly! Our Little Vaquero's Kids Club is for ages 4-12 (or older, if desired) and offers daily themed activities, such as Farm Days where kids can visit our farm to bottle feed baby animals, pick vegetables & herbs from the garden for use in that night's dinner menu, and collect eggs from the chickens. Blue Sky offers 2 floor/ 2 bedroom suites and 22 connecting suites for families that need more space and flexibility.

Environmental & Social Practices

Environment

Every element of Blue Sky's design has been done to re-integrate guests with the natural environment.

Local materials were used in the construction of Blue Sky, such as stone from the Browns Canyon quarry about 12 miles down the road.

We have our own water treatment facility on site which we use to treat water from Alexander Creek which runs through the center of the property. This is also the main water supply for High West Whiskey, the distillery for which is located on our site.

We have our own farm, called Saving Gracies, where we grow our own veg and wildflowers for use in meals, collect eggs from chickens. Our farmer is fantastic. She uses a no-till method to help preserve soil quality and instead circulates different animals through the farm to feed in different areas and on different crops which preserves the integrity of the produce and soil.

Most of the animals at Blue Sky are rescue animals, specifically horses and cattle. Barb Phillips, one of our owners, is passionately committed to animal rescue and has a foundation called Saving Gracies which aims to either rescue, rehabilitate or help older animals to retire in a supportive, healthy, dignified way. She works with a method of natural horsemanship called Vaquero which is incredibly gentle, and which works with the natural energies and personalities of the animals.

The Edge Spa will utilize products that are natural, and the treatments will have local influence.

The entire ethos of Blue Sky is focused on reconnecting people with the natural environment through immersive activities, special dining experiences, events, and wellness pursuits.

Ranch History

Owners Mike + Barb Phillips are genuine stewards of the earth. Together they have designed five mediums through which guests can reconnect with the natural world:

The understated elegance & organic architecture of Blue Sky’s 46 rooms + suites; nourishing mountain modern cuisine utilizing storied, sustainable ingredients;an iconic wellness sanctuary perched at the edge of a precipice where earth meets sky; the High West whiskey distillery which lovingly crafts small-batch whiskey from grain to glass; and curated activities for guests of all ages which invoke a rich Western heritage.

Blue Sky is a place of soul and spirit, located 40 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport.

Visitor Reviews

Dont just take our word for it, see what visitors like you say...

BEWARE don't stay here , you'll never ever want to leave

My wife and I consider ourselves well traveled and this was the nicest resort we've stayed at , ever............. There is no way to describe in words the experience of staying here other than one step above heaven. We stayed in a creek suite but my guess would be that all the suites are 5 star. The service was impeccable and the use of E-bikes to cruise the ranch were a bonus. My prediction is that when the word gets out this will become THEE premier resort on the west coast to stay for the who's who and it will be near impossible to secure a reservation here.

5 stars
